Steve Ditko (1927–2018) was a legendary American comic book artist, writer and comic book creator best known as the co-creator of Spider-Man and creator of Doctor Strange for Marvel Comics. Steve Ditko (1927–2018) was a legendary American comic book artist, writer and comic book creator best known as the co-creator of Spider-Man and creator of Doctor Strange for Marvel Comics. Renowned for his distinctive, surreal art style and complex storytelling, Ditko helped shape the visual language of superhero comics in the 1960s. Ditkoverse and its new remastered releases will preserve Steve Ditko's legendary status and expand it for future generations. As 2027 will mark Steve’s 100th birthday, we’re using these releases to celebrate his impact on the world, building up to his centennial. These titles are officially endorsed by the Steve Ditko Estate with the family members themselves as the driving force.

Raised by proud parents with strong Slovak roots whose path through life was one of putting your head down and working for what you need. He didn’t see himself as a celebrity, nor did he seek the limelight. He wanted steady work doing what he loved the most – putting his head down at his drawing board and creating stories. And he did just that his entire life.
